The H40 is a self-contained unit, with the system cabinet measuring just 20" wide
by 20" high by 12" deep. It requires only a source of potable tap
water, a drain, and a grounded 115 or 230 volt electrical outlet in order to
operate. The system can be bench, shelf or wall-mounted up to 20 feet away
from the HOGEN® 40 system.
In order to accomodate a wide-variety of incoming tap water qualities,
the H40 includes a built-in reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment system
capable of providing more than 25 gallons (95 liters) per day of
RO purified water (that's approximately 4 times the capacity that
the HOGEN 40® requires). The H40 can run on tap water containing
up to 1,000 PPM of total dissolved solids. The RO purified water
is stored in a 4 gallon (15 liter) pressurized storage tank that
sits on top of the system cabinet. The Type II DI portion of the
system is fed from the RO storage tank.
A temperature-compensated purity sensor continuously monitors
the quality of the purified water. It includes red and green LEDs
that indicate the resistivity of the water as >2 megohm-cm (green
LED is on), or <2 megohm-cm (red LED illuminates and an audible
alarm sounds) indicating that it is time to replace the purification
kit. The purification kit consists of an activated carbon prefilter
cartridge and a DI module. The changeout can be done in just a
few minutes, without disrupting the operation of the HOGEN® 40
system. The system price includes a spare purification kit. |
